Definition of aircard:

also known as wireless card, broadband card, connect card:

An air card is a device for a netbook, laptop, PDA or cell phone that permits you to connect to the Internet.

They are connected to your mobile gadget using an USB port, PCMCIA card slot or Express Card slot.

Kyocera and Sierra air cards are two of the most famous air card manufacturers.

An air card will enable you to have Internet access without having to lean on hot spot availability, access to a phone line for dial-up or sharing a wired connection.

You will need a service plan (normally through your cell phone provider) that allows you to access the Internet with your air card. Before charging to any company be sure you check to see what type of coverage you will have and how much will cost to you. Choose a flat plan if you can afford to do so.
